Residential and Nursing Care
Oakdene Care Home, part of the Mountain Ash Care Group, stands within a unique setting. A walled garden provides peace and tranquillity while beyond the garden gate is the market town of Sleaford with all its facilities and activities. The Care Home, which has its own car park, is actually a Grade II listed building with some parts dating back to the early 1600s. It was originally called the Old House and was a malting house with adjoining outbuildings. The outbuildings, garden gateway and archway are all Grade II listed. The Irish oak in the garden is also listed. Part of the stone work in the archway was taken from the stone of Sleaford castle which was demolished in 1550.
At Oakdene Care Home we provide a full range of care from residential to palliative care with fully qualified nurses and trained staff on duty 24 hours per day.
A pre-assessment of each resident allows us to ascertain exactly what needs he or she has and any special care that they may require. Each resident has their own care plan which residents and relatives (with the permission of the resident) are involved in maintaining.
At Oakdene we have a keycode-locked front door for residents' safety. During the Covid-19 pandemic, visiting changed many times. At the moment, visiting is not restricted providing you do not have Covid-19 symptoms. Visitors will be asked to wash their hands thoroughly and wear a mask for the resident’s safety. Please do not remove your mask during visiting. If we are in an outbreak, residents’ families will be contacted to inform them of the guidelines and visiting regulations. We look forward to once again having an open-door policy for residents' relatives and friends (in accordance with the resident's wishes).
